My Memory of the Library

Well since I've been here for over 30 years I have many memories of the library.  I tell people I've basically grown up here.  I graduated from high school, got married & had children while working here.  And they're now older than I was when I started!  From working under Mrs. Sheaffer in the children's department, to moving to the adult department after my second child was born, I've touched on almost every job there is to do here at the library.  In addition, the people I've worked with over the years have always been my second family.  One couldn't ask for a better environment to work in!

So please help and share your memories of the library with us!  We know we'll be hearing some good stories!  Comment on my post to share your favorite library memory.

When my children were small, we came to the library a lot. I remember them joining the summer reading club each year, getting a hand printed diploma and attending an ice cream and cookie party at the end of the reading club outside in the side yard. I had such good rapport that eventually I applied and got a job here and I have been here for 31 years now too. Great place to work and great fellow employees who are like family.

I have been going to this Library for over 30 years now. When they call you by your first name, you know it's your second home. I can't imagine my life without it.
